Living Comfortably: Rebooting Public Spaces

Naberezhnye Chelny is implementing an ambitious program to create a comfortable and modern urban environment. We are not just repairing roads and courtyards; we are creating new points of attraction — multifunctional parks, embankments, and squares that become true open-air "living rooms" for Chelny residents and city guests.

Main Vectors of Development:

• Embankments and the Kama. The development of coastal areas is an absolute priority. The main projects of recent years include the improvement of the Gabdulla Tukay Embankment, the beach in "Pribrezhny" Park, and the creation of new promenades that open up views of the vastness of the Kama and the Nizhnekamsk Reservoir.

• "Mega-parks" in Residential Areas. Chelny's unique layout allows for the creation of large-scale recreational zones within residential "complexes." Examples include the renovated Shishkinsky Boulevard, Azatlyk Square, and Yunykh Lenintsev Boulevard, which have become activity hubs for entire neighborhoods.

• Synchronization of Programs. The improvement of parks is synchronized with the large-scale presidential program "Our Yard," which allows for a comprehensive renewal of the environment from the apartment doorstep to the central square.

• Architectural Avant-Garde. Chelny preserves and reinterprets its architectural heritage. The unique style of Soviet modernism is taken into account during improvement works, and the famous concrete sculptures by Ildar Khanov are preserved and restored.
