The most dangerous area is the Lower Pool (Nizhny Byef) near the Nizhnekamsk HPP dam. The 112 service periodically receives reports of fishermen on the ice in the prohibited zone of the Nizhnekamsk HPP.
"Officials of local self-government bodies of municipal districts, when detecting violations by citizens of safety rules on water bodies and walking on ice less than 7 cm thick, draw up administrative protocols under Part 2 of Article 3.10 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Tatarstan 'Violation of rules for the protection of human life on water bodies in the Republic of Tatarstan', which entails: a warning or an administrative fine for citizens from 1,500 to 2,000 rubles; for officials – from 5,000 to 7,000 rubles; for legal entities – from 50,000 to 70,000 rubles," he noted.
