A Victory Parade dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War is beginning in Naberezhnye Chelny. Students, cadets, military equipment, and cavalry are participating in the organization.
The parade aligns with the national flag of the Russian Federation, the Banner of Victory, the flag of the Republic of Tatarstan, and the flag of the city of Naberezhnye Chelny. The banners are carried by cadets of Chelny schools and students of the Naberezhnye Chelny Polytechnic College.
Mayor Nail Magdeev congratulated those gathered on the holiday:
“Dear residents and guests of the city, dear front-line soldiers and home front workers! Happy Victory Day! For each of us, May 9 is the most important, precious, and national holiday. It is a day of pride, memory, and gratitude. It unites generations, reminds us of the value of peace, the strength of spirit, and the unbreakable unity of our people. Residents of Chelny also made their contribution to the common Victory.
Dear veterans! We are proud of you and look up to you! We will do everything so that your feat remains forever in the heart of every resident of Chelny and is passed on to children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. I am sure that subsequent generations will love the Motherland just as strongly, preserve traditions, and always remember the immortal feat of their ancestors. Victory Day unites us and makes us invincible in the face of any challenges!
