A grand opening of the exhibition "Sergey Andriyaka Watercolor School. Master and Apprentice" took place in the main hall of the art gallery.

The exhibition features graphic works executed in the techniques of watercolor, pencil drawing, and etching. The exhibition will run until February 5.

The Specialized Watercolor School of Sergey Andriyaka, People's Artist of the Russian Federation and full member of the Russian Academy of Arts, together with its museum and exhibition complex, was opened in 1999. The main objectives of the school are to revive classical multi-layered watercolor painting and the academic education system, as well as to preserve and pass on the traditions and experience of old masters to future generations.

The Watercolor School actively develops a traveling exhibition program. Residents of large and small cities get acquainted with the works of teacher-artists and students. This is the fourth time that the Naberezhnye Chelny Art Gallery has hosted an exhibition of the Sergey Andriyaka Watercolor School, introducing Chelny viewers to the amazing world of watercolor.

Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Tatarstan Khamza Sharipov addressed the guests with welcoming words. The formal part of the event was enhanced by music performed by the "Naigrysh" folk instrument ensemble, artistic director Elvira Fedorova.
