The competition took place in Sochi. The winner was determined after nine rounds: the team from Tatarstan scored 15 match points (7 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss) and 25 points in individual games.
The champion squad included: International Master Ramil Faizrakhmanov, International Master Maxim Samusenko, FIDE Master Leonid Efimov, FIDE Master Anton Isaevsky, and Grandmaster Ildar Ibragimov. Representatives of Naberezhnye Chelny made a special contribution to the overall victory: International Master Maxim Samusenko and student of the "Etude" sports school, FIDE Master Leonid Efimov.
Victory in the Higher League gives the "Tatarstan" team the right to compete in the Premier League of the Russian Championship – the country's strongest team tournament.
