War veteran and home front worker Maryam Minnikhanova celebrates her birthday

Today, Maryam Minnikhanovna Minnikhanova, a Great Patriotic War veteran and home front worker residing in the Avtozavodsky district, celebrates her 96th birthday. Today, on this momentous day, food packages and congratulatory cards were presented to the jubilarian on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

Born into a large peasant family in the village of Biklyan, Tukayevsky District, Maryam Minnikhanovna learned the value of hard work from a young age. After completing 7 grades, she did not have the opportunity to continue her education, but this did not break her spirit.

During the harsh years of the Great Patriotic War, Maryam Minnikhanovna worked selflessly in the fields and on farms, contributing to the common Victory.

In 1952, Maryam Minnikhanovna started her own family. Today, she is surrounded by the love and care of 2 children, 4 grandchildren, and as many as 8 great-grandchildren.

Maryam Minnikhanovna dedicated her entire post-war life to working in the Krasnaya Zarya labor artel, where she worked until her well-deserved retirement. Her diligent work was recognized with deserved awards: the medals "Veteran of Labor", "For Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945", and anniversary medals.
