Victory Park hosted a large-scale festive event "The glory of those great years will not fade," dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the Great Victory. The program included performances by creative teams, honoring of veterans, interactive zones, and traditional soldiers' porridge.
Mayor Nail Magdeev addressed the guests of the holiday with a welcoming speech:
Today is a special day in the life of Naberezhnye Chelny, our multinational republic, and our beloved country – the Day of the Great Victory. This is a holiday, but at the same time, it is a tribute to the memory, sorrow, and respect for those who perished there. Just think: 27 million of our compatriots gave their lives on the fields of the Great Patriotic War so that we could live today under a blue sky and a bright sun.
Today, each of us remembers our relatives and loved ones. The war went through every family. Everyone has ancestors who walked the harsh roads of war: great-grandfathers, great-grandmothers, grandfathers, grandmothers, and distant relatives. There is not a single family that was not touched by the war. Therefore, on the Day of the Great Victory, we express our heartfelt words of gratitude to the generation of victors.
The stage featured choreographic ensembles "Yaz", "Sotsvetie", vocal studios "Kapel", "Bravo", and honored artists of the Republic of Tatarstan Guldaniya Khayrullina, Inzilya Salimova, and Flyura Talipova. The audience heard favorite war songs performed by local creative groups – "Katyusha", "This Victory Day", "Cranes", and new patriotic compositions.
As part of the event, interactive military and volunteer zones were open, where guests could try on military uniforms, assemble a submachine gun, and write a triangular letter. A field kitchen was open for everyone – anyone could taste real soldiers' porridge with stewed meat and hot tea, just like in the years of the Great Patriotic War.
The celebration concluded with a minute of silence, the laying of flowers at the memorial, and the performance of the song "Sing, soldier, sing!". The event united several generations of Naberezhnye Chelny residents, becoming a symbol of the continuity of memory and gratitude to the heroes.
