The municipal bathhouse building, constructed in 1974 with an area of over 2,000 sq. m, is being actively renovated: 70% of demolition and preparatory work has been completed, 24% of the roof repair, and 10% of the engineering network and finishing work. Mayor Nail Magdeev visited the site for an inspection.

The project transforms the space of the outdated public bathhouse into a modern multifunctional spa center, where heritage meets contemporary leisure aesthetics. Nail Magdeev checked the color and quality characteristics of the finishing materials with the city's chief architect, Malika Shamsieva.

The colors chosen are practical, the materials are wear-resistant, and the interior and decor feature natural motifs; the project was highly praised by the mayor.

The design project focuses on lively, "breathable" textures: wood and stone were chosen as the main accents; they soften the geometry of the space, add depth to the color, and make the interior intimate, cozy, and visually stable.

Nail Magdeev instructed to pay special attention to the convenience and comfort of groups with limited mobility – from the entrance area and wardrobe to the washing rooms.

"It is important for me to see the revival of a facility that has served as a place of rest and health for several generations of Chelny residents for decades. We strive to create a modern, comfortable, and accessible facility that will be enjoyable for every resident. I am convinced: when the work is completed, this social institution will become a center where tradition meets comfort," summarized Nail Magdeev after the tour.

Major repairs include: renovation of the facade and entrance groups, roof replacement, electrical work, modernization of water supply, drainage, heating, and ventilation systems, installation of air conditioning, organization of an accessible environment for citizens with limited mobility, and installation of a light sign. A cafeteria is planned for the ground floor.

After the completion of major repairs, the public bathhouse will once again become one of the key centers for health and leisure in the city. The work is being carried out as part of the "Active Longevity" program, a priority area of the "Family" national project, which has been implemented in Russia since 2025 by the decision of President Vladimir Putin. The main goal of the program is to create comfortable conditions for active longevity and improve the quality of life for older people.
