School No. 27 has immortalized the memory of a Chelny resident who participated in the special military operation. A memorial plaque to Andrey Yarantsev has been installed on the school's facade.

"Andrey Alekseevich is a true example of courage and heroism," said Deputy Head of the Municipal Formation Irina Sagidullina to those present at the ceremony. "He remained faithful to the oath he gave to our country until the very end."

Members of the hero's family — his mother, father, and brother — also attended the event. Andrey Yarantsev's name is immortalized at the "Rodina-Mat" ("Motherland") memorial complex.

Andrey Yarantsev graduated from school No. 27 in 1996, but his teachers still remember him, and his memory is passed on to the school's students.

"He was kind, purposeful, and had a special sense of justice. He studied at school 27, and later joined the airborne troops. He served for almost 23 years; it was his life. On behalf of the relatives, friends, and fellow soldiers of my brother, I express my deep gratitude to the director of school No. 27 and the administration of the city of Naberezhnye Chelny for the installation of the memorial plaque and the board of honor," shared Artyom Yarantsev, Andrey's younger brother.

Andrey Yarantsev served in hot spots. He was awarded medals "For Courage", "For Military Valor", "Georgy Zhukov", "General A.P. Yermolov", "For Military Valor", "To a Participant in Combat Operations in the North Caucasus", "70 Years of Victory", "For Courage and Bravery", and the Order of Courage posthumously.
