Employees of the North-Eastern Territorial Inspection Body of the State Construction Supervision of the Republic of Tatarstan conducted an on-site inspection of residential building No. 21/16 in the 21st complex of the residential area "Zamelekesye" in Naberezhnye Chelny.
During the final inspection, the specialist examined the gas supply system for compliance with the design documentation. In particular, the correctness of the welded joints of the gas pipeline, the presence of an anti-corrosion coating of the gas pipeline, examined compliance with the regulatory distance from the gas pipeline to electrical outlets, ventilation in the kitchen, installation of gas meters and shut-off valves.
The purpose of complying with all regulatory requirements is to ensure further safety during the operation of the gas pipeline and gas-consuming equipment by apartment owners.
According to Gosstroynadzor, carbon monoxide poisoning can occur in rooms where individual heating is installed – gas boilers. In modern homes, it is a mandatory requirement to install carbon monoxide and methane gas detectors. When the maximum concentration of carbon monoxide is exceeded, the solenoid shut-off valve on the gas pipeline is triggered, which helps to avoid poisoning and prevent the threat of an emergency.
Experts also noted that State Construction Supervision checks are carried out before the gas is put into the gas pipeline of an apartment building. The gas is started up after the developer receives a permit for commissioning.
