The XVII Congress of the Association of "Council of Municipalities of the Republic of Tatarstan" was held in Kazan. The event was attended by the President of the Republic Rustam Minnikhanov, the State Counselor of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev, the Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin, heads of various ministries and departments, and heads of municipalities of the republic.
The Mayor of the city Nail Magdeev presented a report on the preliminary socio-economic results of Naberezhnye Chelny's work over the year. He dwelt in detail on the mobilization activities of the auto city, noting that Chelny was one of the first municipalities to organize support for the families of the mobilized. The citizens – the authorities, businesses, and the population – sent more than 350 tons of humanitarian cargo to those in need in Lisichansk.
"A part of the cargo, namely 90 tons, was sent to the location of a military unit in the Belgorod region, where our soldiers from Tatarstan are serving. I spoke there with our fellow countrymen from Chelny, Zainsk, Kazan, Apastovo, Arsk, Vysokaya Gora, and Pestretsy. It is important that we received feedback from our guys and made sure that the cargo was delivered to the requested location," the head of the city reported.
Nail Magdeev noted that Chelny is finishing the year with good results. Large-scale projects are being implemented in the city, and all social obligations are being met. All development tools available at the federal and regional levels are being actively used in the city.
Due to the implementation of investment projects in the main industrial sectors, more than 6,000 new jobs will be created in the coming years.
"At the same time, today the level of registered unemployment in the city is very low and amounts to 0.34%. In the labor market, there are 6 vacancies for 1 unemployed person. That is, enterprises have a high need for personnel," the Mayor noted.
As solutions to the problem of personnel shortage, Nail Magdeev proposed creating comfortable learning conditions, increasing the number of state-funded places, and creating conditions for the relocation of specialists.
