Lyudmila Romanovna was born in Leningrad. During the years of the blockade, when she was very young, she lost her grandmother, who died of exhaustion and starvation. Tamara Evgenievna was born in Leningrad in 1936. From 1942 to 1943, she lived in besieged Leningrad. He remembers running with his mother to an air raid shelter. Together with the Krasnaya Zarya factory, where his mother worked, they were evacuated along the "road of life" to Ufa. He remembers how the plant's equipment and workers sailed on three boats, two of which were sunk during an attack by German planes. The train in which they were traveling was also bombed .
