Yellow, red, lilac and white tulips grow
not in Holland, but in Naberezhnye Chelny. Today
, seven varieties of tulips of different shades are grown in Gorzelenkhoz greenhouses. The bulbs were planted this year on January 10th.
"We started planting tulips on January 10, at a temperature of +5 degrees, after 14 days the temperature was raised to 9 degrees, because the growth and rooting of tulip bulbs begins, and then we add temperature as we grow," says Elena Chemercheva, the chief grower of Gorzelenkhoz.
The height of tulips grown in Naberezhnye Chelny ranges from 40 to 60 cm. Flowers are sold here both wholesale and retail. According to Azamat Vildanov, director of the Gorzelenkhoz enterprise, all products have already been sold.
