An expanded meeting of the Medical Council of the Naberezhnye Chelny City Health Department was held today at the city Palace of Creativity for Children and Youth. It was attended by the Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic Tatarstan Ildar Fatikhov and the mayor Nail Magdeev.

First, he spoke about the organization of work against the background of the pandemic in connection with the new coronavirus infection. It should be noted that Naberezhnye Chelny provided medical assistance to residents of Ukayevsky, Zainsky, Yelabuzhsky, Menzelinsky, Mendeleevsky, Agryzsky, Aktanyshsky, Muslyumovsky and Mamadyshsky districts with a total population of 936,952 people. More than 1,000 beds were deployed in dispensary hospitals based on the Infectious Diseases Hospital, city hospitals No. 2 and No. 5, and the hospital for war veterans.

So, about 55 thousand people underwent medical examinations in 2020. About 9,000 patients were referred for the second stage of medical examination.
In 2020, about 560 million rubles were spent on preferential medicines, and the number of patients provided with medicines under preferential programs increased by 12%. The number of those who refused the social package in 2020 was reduced by 0.6%, which made it possible to reach 64.0%. Work with the privileged category of patients to reduce refusals will continue this year and should be taken under the special supervision of the chief physicians.
It should be noted that in 2020, the increase in employed doctors amounted to 37 specialists. At the beginning of this year , 1,729 doctors and 4,725 secondary medical workers work in the city's healthcare institutions.
Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of TatarstanIldar Fatikhov gave a good assessment of the work of residents of Naberezhnye Chelny in the direction of attracting medical personnel: "Personnel decide everything. Despite the covid year, we managed to maintain a positive balance of medical staff. We do not stop at these indicators."
Alexander Nikolaev, in turn, noted that it was possible to keep the indicator due to the provision of grants.
The Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, which will be increased in 2020 to 800
thousand rubles to improve the living conditions of specialist doctors. One of the measures
of social support in attracting personnel was also additional financial assistance from the city budget, which was provided to 53 doctors-grantees.
Ildar Fatikhov also noted that about 12 billion rubles were spent on strengthening the material and technical base of medical organizations in Tatarstan, of which more than 3 billion were spent in Naberezhnye Chelny: "3 billion 290 million rubles were spent on major repairs of healthcare facilities and the purchase of medical equipment. This is, of course, much more than in any other city. And the program of capital repairs of polyclinics was adequately completed, you had the most funds," he said.
Based on the results of the work in 2020, the tasks for 2021 were defined : implementation of the national projects "Healthcare" and "Demography"; improvement of the quality and accessibility of medical care to the population and patient orientation; improvement of specialized medical care; development of oncological care to the population of the city; consistent and systematic personnel policy and elimination of personnel shortages; continuation of the overhaul of the infectious diseases hospital.
