In Naberezhnye Chelny, 14026 children are on the waiting list for kindergartens, 9553 of them aged 1.5 to 3 years. This was announced today during a press conference by Narkiz Kashapov, first deputy head of the city's education department.
"As of today, places have been prepared for 7,135 children, of which more than 4,700 are nurseries. These are places for children for new recruitment. Depending on the wishes of the parents, these figures will change. Therefore, for now we are talking about preliminary recruitment," he said.
Narcise Kashapov explained that the number of children in the queue does not mean that all of them will go to kindergarten: "It all depends on the desired date of enrollment in kindergarten. And, as the practice of previous years shows, percentages 30-40 parents are not ready to take their children to a nursery. They are waiting for them to reach the age of 3."
He noted that the provision of places in preschool educational institutions for children aged 1.5 to 3 years in 2019 was 40%, last year it was 70%. "This year, by September 1, we plan to provide more than 90% of children with places in nursery groups. We were able to do this thanks to the national project "Demography", which is being implemented with the support of the leadership of the Republic of Tatarstan and the leadership of our city. We have built nine kindergartens in the last two years alone . That's 2,100 seats. Of these, 1,140 are in nursery groups. This year we are building three more kindergartens. All of them will be open by September 1," said Narkiz Kashapov, stressing that in recent years For 13 years, 40 kindergartens have been put into operation in Naberezhnye Chelny: 13 have been returned from inappropriate use, 22 have been newly built.
