From March 12 to March 14, the Championship of the Republic of Tatarstan in Sambo wrestling among young men born in 2007-2009 took place at the Olympus sports School in Bolgar, where the selection and recruitment of the national sambo team of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2021 took place. 212 participants took part in the competition, these are teams from all over Tatarstan – Kazan, Zelenodolsk, Nurlat, Bolgar, Almetyevsk, Aktanyshsky district, Chistopol, Laishevo, Kukmor, Sarmanovo, Nizhnekamsk, Buinsk, Uruss and other districts and cities.
Two athletes of the Zaman Youth Center became winners of the Championship of the Republic of Tatarstan and won a ticket to the Volga Federal District, which will be held in early May in the Nizhny Novgorod region. DanielBabayev took the first place in the 54 kg weight category, Robert Mukhamadiev became the first in the 71 kg weight category.
