Today, at a morning meeting in the city Hall, Ilya Zuev, First Deputy Head of the Executive Committee, announced that demands had been sent to the management companies to begin work on cleaning the canopies from snow and hanging icicles.
"This is a very important moment. We have sent requirements to all management companies to clean up in a timely manner so that no unpleasant consequences occur. Every year something happens: somewhere the snow comes off, somewhere an icicle falls. I would not like this to happen again. Therefore, I once again warn everyone to carry out timely work in this direction, " he said.
Mayor Nail Magdeev, in turn , noted that weather conditions are changing, and the ambient temperature is above zero. "This will inevitably lead to snow falling from roofs and canopies of buildings, as well as the breakage of overhanging icicles. This is the most dangerous period. There should be appropriate fencing and warning signs. We all know how to work. You don't need to teach anyone. But do they do everything? That's the question! Everyone is waiting for some kind of call. There will be no calls. Let's start working in this direction. This applies to our cultural institutions, education, healthcare, sports, and all the places where our children and adults go. Canopies, roofs, and entrances must be cleaned. Places of mass stay of citizens should be carefully examined. Literally a day or two and everything will start to go off the roof. Take care of people! This is the most important thing!" he stressed.
