Today, Tatarstan Mufti Kamil Hazrat Samigullin is on a visit to Naberezhnye Chelny. Together with the mayor Nail Magdeev, he got acquainted with the construction of the Jamig mosque. The solemn event to lay the symbolic stone for the construction of the mosque took place 28 years ago, back in 1992.
"How many years has the object been standing? Thanks to the mayor and his team, the imams, the work resumed. This is not just a mosque. This is the central mosque, it will be a pearl, a symbol of the city's attraction, like Kul Sharif, which today is a symbol of Kazan," he said.Kamil Hazrat Samigullin.
The construction is being carried out by the ANG Holding company under the leadership of Alexey Gorshkov.
Nail Magdeev noted that it will take 4-5 years to complete the facility: "Mosques and temples are not built quickly, because they are built only at the expense of citizens. No budgetary public funds are provided or allocated for this facility."
It should be noted that according to the project, the facility is a building with four minarets and five domes. The central dome of the mosque has a height of 31 meters, its diameter reaches 19 meters. The mosque will be able to accommodate 3,200 parishioners at the same time. Moreover, up to 20 thousand believers will be able to settle on the square in front of the mosque during religious holidays.
