The Metropolitan arrived in Naberezhnye Chelny today on a visit. Cyril of Kazan and Tatarstan. Together with the mayor Nail Magdeev, he inspected the progress of the construction work of the Orthodox gymnasium, which is being built on the territory of the parish of the "Holy Great Martyr." St. George the Victorious" on Raskolnikov Street.
It is planned that the educational institution will have three floors. The lower grades will study on the ground floor, the upper grades will study on the second
floor, and the teachers' room and library will be located on the attic floor. At the moment, work is underway on the basement.
It should be noted that the gymnasium is being built on donations from parishioners. Nail Magdeev asked if a checking account has been opened for the construction of the facility, recommending that this procedure be completed.: "All of us will do our bit, our contribution to this settlement account, including me. Together with our supervisors, we are ready to help. Someone can help not with money, but with rebar and concrete. We understand that this is a necessary and important facility, so we will support the construction."
It is assumed that the capacity of the educational institution will be about 200-300 students.
"I hope that the idea that our parishes have today, to make a good school here, will come true," said Metropolitan Kirill of Kazan and Tatarstan, assessing the construction of the facility. – The people here are responsible. This facility can become a good school for general education and moral and patriotic education."
The construction of the gymnasium in Naberezhnye Chelny began in 2020. It is planned that the gymnasium will become a significant center of spiritual education in the Transcamian region. The educational institution will operate within the framework of the Russian Classical School educational system.
