As noted by the head of the health department, Alexander Nikolaev, in 2020, the increase in employed doctors amounted to 37 specialists. This was made possible by the provision of grants from the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan in the amount of 800 thousand rubles to improve housing conditions. It should be noted that another 100,000 rubles are added to this amount from the city budget. Such financial assistance was provided to 53 doctors in Naberezhnye Chelny in 2020.
Marat Mukhamadeev, deputy of the City Council, chief physician of the Emergency Hospital , proposed to increase the amount of financial support for visiting doctors: "We have become competitive thanks to these added 100,000 rubles. When a doctor comes to the Republic of Tatarstan under a grant program, he will receive 500 thousand rubles somewhere, and 600 thousand rubles in Naberezhnye Chelny. We have attracted 10% of doctors thanks to the implementation of the grant program. I ask you to include in the decision of today's session a proposal to increase the amount of the lump sum payment to 200 thousand rubles," he said.
It should be noted that over the past three years, the grant program has managed to attract 150 doctors to the city. Today, 1,729 doctors and 4 doctors work in the city's healthcare facilities. 725 average medical workers.
