The State Duma has passed a bill protecting residents of homes close to shops and shopping malls from intrusive sound advertising.

Alfiya Kogogina, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy, Industry, Innovative Development and Entrepreneurship, commented on the novel: "My colleagues and I are often approached by citizens with complaints about sound advertisements that sound all day long from a store located in their house or a nearby shopping center. This prevents people from living peacefully in their own home. It is also impossible to concentrate at work or in the office if there is a loud and annoying offer to buy something outside the window. The lack of regulation of the distribution of sound advertising leads to abuse and related negative consequences for citizens."

The bill restricts the distribution of sound advertising using sound equipment located on or outside the exterior walls, roofs, and other structural elements of buildings, structures, and structures.
