The Victory Culture and Recreation Park hosted a festive winter send-off and a spring meeting. The soloists and creative teams of the KAMAZ Palace of Culture, the City Palace of Creativity for Children and Youth No. 1 and the children's Choreographic art school No. 17 greeted the guests of the festival with a theatrical performance "Seeing Off Maslenitsa" and an oil dance dance.

The celebration was attended by Natalia Kropotova, Deputy Head of the Executive Committee, Viner Kharisov, Head of the Avtozavodsk district Administration, and City Council deputies Airat Nabiev and Vadim Matyushin.

Viner Kharisov, Head of the Avtozavodsk district Administration, congratulated the guests of the holiday: "Maslenitsa symbolizes the beginning of spring, a time of the year that is associated with the rebirth of nature, renewal and joy. Congratulations on the arrival of spring with all my heart. May winter take all the hardships with it, and spring will bring only happiness, luck, joy, family well-being and prosperity. Happy Shrovetide!"

The creative teams of the Recreation center "Energetik", the Center for Children's Creativity "Ognivo", and the House of Children's Creativity No. 15 took part in the festive program. Playgrounds were organized in the park with the participation of employees of the Children's and Youth sports schools "Yar Chaly", "Builder", fun contests for the whole family, pancake shops and shopping malls with Carnival treats, trade of artisans, peddlers and folk craftsmen. At the festival, everyone was able to find entertainment to their liking: listen to funny ditties, folk songs, and dance around.

More than 2,000 people attended the festivities. The culmination of the folk festival "Seeing off Winter - Maslenitsa" was the burning of a straw effigy, symbolizing the passing of winter and the onset of spring.
